Authentic Chinese Cuisine

I came from an unconventional Chinese family. Probably, the only thing conventional Chinese about us is the food our Nanan used to serve. Every time I go out for Chinese, I relive happy childhood memories.
This picture was taken in one of the many eateries in Binondo called Wai Ying. If you want to eat real Chinese food in Manila, you will not find it in acclaimed restaurants or highly commercialized fast foods.

Pumpkin & Ginger Cake

It was my first time to buy an eCoupon. Even in picture, it looked so delicious that I just couldn't resist the temptation.

Not particularly known for my good memory, I was able to pick up the cake a mere couple of days before the coupon's expiration date. Despite the fact that we were not quite familiar with the place, and the midday heat, my sweet boyfriend still accompanied me to Makati.

All in all, the cake was worth the trip. It tasted exactly how I imagined it to be and more. And my boyfriend and I had another unforgettable adventure we will always treasure.

Freshly baked pumpkin & ginger cake from Epicurus, Inc in Makati.
Perfection :-)
